The SPACES Programme is offering scholarships for graduates, PhD candidates and Postdocs from Namibia and South Africa concentrating on Earth System Research. The grantees will be able to conduct a short-time research stay in Germany this year. The bursaries can include both financial as well as scientific support for individual research projects.

The German Foreign Office and the Kenyan Ministry of Education signed a Joint Declaration of Intent on the establishment of the Eastern African-German University of Applied Sciences in Nairobi on February 9.
